Bob and Terrie Beckley

Bob Beckley was born in Garrett, raised in Albion, and graduated from Central Noble in 1971. Terrie was born in Indianapolis. She moved to Columbia City her senior year, graduating in 1978 from Columbia City Joint High School. When Terrie was working as a secretary at the old Farm Bureau Co-Op Feed Mill, she met Bob. They began dating and have since been married for 45 years.
Terrie has spent 42 years in home-based child care. She is a 24-year member of the Lions Club as well as the LEO Club, was a Girl Scout Leader for a decade, and has organized several fundraisers for sick or injured children. Terrie has been an Indianapolis Colts “Anthem Angel” and has been recognized as Albion’s Citizen of the Year. Most notable, Terrie is the founder and president of Noble County Miracle Tree. Currently in its 38th year, Miracle Tree is a local nonprofit that helps low income Noble County children at Christmastime, working from both a “need” and a “wish” list, providing clothing, toys, and bedding. They also have a Back-to-School event where they provide haircuts, backpacks, and school supplies. They’ve also expanded into helping families in crisis secure bedding, clothes, hygiene items, and sometimes furniture.
Many of the houses and businesses you see around Albion were built by Bob in the 38 years he worked for Keith Leatherman Construction. He also worked for both Chain O' Lake Correctional Facility as well as the State Park itself. Bob served with the Albion Fire Department for 48 years, serving as the chief for ten of those years. He has also served his community by being a Boy Scout Leader as well as being a member of the Albion Lions Club. His construction skills have come in handy in the last two and a half years, as he and many others have been working hard to remodel the Miracle Tree building in town so that it may better serve the organization’s growing needs. Together, they attend Albion Wesleyan Church. The Beckleys have three children: Jenny Broom, Stephanie Fisher, and Jonathan Beckley. They are proud grandparents to seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

"Timeless Legacy: Honoring Our Past, Celebrating Our Future"
2025 Festival Theme
The Beckleys have chosen “Timeless Legacy” as the theme of the 2025 festival. They wanted to acknowledge the remodel to our courthouse, the centerpiece of both our town and the festival. While the majority of the exterior remains the same- honoring the past, the interior has been renovated and reconfigured to better serve the county going forward. Join us in honoring our heritage and celebrating what is yet to come for the Town of Albion.
